Current construction on Edgewood Trail is being done to widen the path at the Cedar River bridge crossing. After construction, the bridge crossing will include an eight-foot-wide path which adds an additional 400 feet of trail.
Highlights of Edgewood trail include access to Manhattan-Robbins Lake Park and scenic views of the Cedar River! You can find mor information including maps of Edgewood Trail, and other trails in the the Metro Area on the Corridor MPO's website!! Thanks CMPO!!!

Check out the new exhibit on the Grant Wood Trail. Located close to Waldo's Rock Park, the exhibit documents the history from rail to trail and the cooperative relationship between the Linn County Trails Association and Linn County Conservation that continues to this day.

Current and near Future!
Red Circles- Future! What GREAT Connections!
In the last two years alone – notable progress on the Morgan Creek, Cherokee, Grant Wood, Indian Creek, CEMAR, and Cedar Valley Nature Trails. More progress is in the works this year and over the next few years on the Morgan Creek, Cherokee, Edgewood, Grant Wood, CEMAR, Cedar Valley Nature, Cedar Lake, and Interurban Trails, plus the Alliant Lightline Bridge.
We’re getting there but work remains – a bridge over the Cedar River on the Morgan Creek Trail, completing the Cherokee trail, connecting the CEMAR and Interurban trails, connections to Palo, Springville, Mt Vernon, and Fairfax, plus . . . future trails and bikeways to be defined in the forthcoming Comprehensive Trails and Bikeways Plan Update.
